View from Chuisure
St. Olivetto Maggiorre Monastery is on the right, in the distance. This is the view from the tiny village of Chuisure, which was so picture perfect, it seemed more like a stage set than a real place. You can see the very beginning of the chalk cliffs, that become more and more common as you travel north. We had just heard the monks performing their Sunday service in Gregorian chant, as they have for hundreds of years.
