"The Priory near Hadrian's Wall"
An ancient priory of beautiful pink stone and churchyard filled with medieval headstones; The sky was overcast, but on the verge of clearing, and truthfully I felt as if I was in a gothic romance novel of some kind. "Jane Eyre" or "Wuthering Hights". It's easy to see how this landscape would fuel such brooding mysteries.
